In the heart of Salento
Sansonetti Palace is located in the historic centre of Casarano, a town of about 20.000 inhabitants in the province of Lecce, in the heart of Salento. Just a few meters from the building, among aristocratic palaces, courts and ancient churches, you can discover suggestive restaurants for a romantic dinner or fancy bars for a drink.
Thanks to his position, Casarano is the ideal starting point to move throughout the territory of Salento. The building is about 10 Km from the Ionic coast and from the well-known marinas of Ugento and Gallipoli. At about 35 Km you can find the beautiful Santa Maria di Leuca with the famous Basilica De Finibus Terrae, located in the exact point where Adriatic Sea and Ionian Sea come together. Casarano is also near the Adriatic coast and, therefore, the suggestive and ancient city of Otranto. The city of Lecce, famous for the baroque style of the churches and the palaces, is about 46 Km far away.
